PRE-RENOVATION DESIGN
Planning a renovation can feel overwhelming. You might know your home needs to change, but you’re not sure what layout will work best, where to spend your budget, or how to make every room feel connected. That’s where Pre-Renovation Design comes in.
Before you commit to major decisions, we help you create a clear design direction for your home, from the layout and flow to the finishes, lighting, storage, and overall look and feel. This gives you the confidence to move forward with your architect, builder, kitchen designer, or trades with a much clearer plan.
Renovations involve hundreds of decisions, and many of them become expensive to change once work has started. Without a clear plan, it’s easy to end up with a home that feels disjointed, a layout that doesn’t quite work, or finishes chosen in a rush because your builder needs an answer.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Our Virtual Design packages are a 100% remote service offering a predictable flat-fee cost and crystal-clear digital deliverables. No matter where you are located, we provide the expert blueprint, and you handle the purchasing and installation at your own pace.
Choose from three tiers depending on the level of remote support you need. Styling, Signature or our more in depth Kitchen and bathrooms design package.
What you can expect when we work together,
Every project is approached with clarity, care and a considered eye for detail. From the initial enquiry through to the final handover, the process is designed to feel collaborative, organised and reassuring, giving you the confidence to make decisions while ensuring every element of your home feels cohesive, purposeful and beautifully resolved.
onboarding
Once your project is confirmed, you will receive a welcome guide, client questionnaire and details of everything needed to begin. This stage allows us to understand your home, lifestyle, priorities and design preferences before any creative work starts.
You may be asked to provide floorplans, measurements, photographs, inspiration imagery and any existing plans or supplier information. Once these are received, your project timeline will be confirmed and the design process can begin.
design development
This is where the direction for your home begins to take shape. Your brief is translated into a considered design scheme, bringing together layout, colour, materials, finishes, furniture and architectural details as relevant to your chosen service.
The design is developed with both beauty and practicality in mind, ensuring every decision feels cohesive and appropriate for the way you live. Your initial concept will be presented for review, followed by the agreed revision stage before the scheme is finalised.
procurement
Where sourcing or procurement support forms part of your service, selected pieces and materials will be brought together into a clear schedule with supplier details, specifications and pricing.
Depending on the scope of your project, items may either be purchased directly by you or ordered through Harbour & House where trade purchasing is available. Trade pricing is subject to supplier quotations, availability and individual account terms, and all applicable details will be clearly outlined before an order is placed.
design pack & handover
At the end of the design process, you will receive a complete digital design pack containing the final information included within your chosen service.
This may include moodboards, layouts, elevations, material selections, paint colours, product schedules, sourcing links and styling guidance. The pack is designed to give you a clear and practical reference as you move into purchasing, installation or the next stage of your renovation.
Where required, final details will also be explained during a handover call so you feel confident carrying the design forward.
